After getting my BA in Music, I worked as a warranty clerk, receptionist, & cashier (yes, all three at once) in a car dealership where I honed my skills, attending to minute details & data entry. Next, I went on to a financial services center where I was an exemplary Customer Service Agent explaining the intricacies of car contracts & interest as well as de-escalating high value customers. It wasn’t long before I felt pulled to get a postgraduate degree to become a classroom teacher, I followed that ping, & embarked on the one-year intensive master’s & certification program where I completed a full Master’s degree & all the prerequisites for education majors at the same time. It was in this program where I harnessed & heightened my high level of multitasking, problem assessment & solution oriented decision making, & exemplary organizational skills. Once in the classroom, I dedicated 14 years receiving top tier performance reviews, stepping into school & district level leadership roles, & was a leader in technology integration & training in every school/district I worked for all while being a teacher kids & parents loved for my fairness, openness, & acceptance of them where they were in that moment while maintaining structure & care.
